In 1977, a young student arrived at the University of Tennessee to study Animal Science, unaware of the adventure ahead. Joining Alpha Gamma Rho (AGR) made the campus feel like home, bringing together a brotherhood that had a special honor: caring for Smokey, the beloved mascot. Stepping onto the field on several occasions alongside Smokey’s Trainer JK Graves turned a former spectator into a lifelong fan. That passion sparked a 45-year tradition of attending nearly every home football game at Neyland Stadium following graduation in 1982. The story took its best turn in 1998 with the arrival of Drew during the VOLS’ undefeated National Championship run. That historic trip to the Fiesta Bowl introduced us to Kokopelli—a lucky charm that sparked a grand new tradition: the annual KokOasis Challenge. Today, the KokOasis Challenge brings community and college sports together under one banner to unite family, old friends, and new faces, where there is always room in the stands for one more. — Kevin

Each week of the regular season, a new name will be carved into legend as another tile, (or tiles), will claim their spot on this sacred wall! We’re honoring each week’s highest-scoring Challengers who haven’t already achieved eternal, ceramic glory. If the top scorer has already cemented their spot in history, lightning will strike down the leaderboard and the honor will instantly be passed to the next contender waiting in the wings! Stay sharp, stack those points, and keep your eye on the wall… your moment of glory— immortalized in tile—might be just one week away!
